The microchannel delivery platform is not a single device. The AQT series runs from AQT-001 to AQT-008 — eight configurations of one underlying technology, developed for different agents, depths, volumes and clinical settings. Most are devices; where a configuration is paired with a specific therapeutic agent, as MICROTOX™ (AQT-004) is with botulinum toxin, it is a combination product.
Each configuration is derived from a single protected delivery mechanism and inherits the underlying intellectual property. The series is commercially designated AQUAGOLD®.
Configurations with a distinct program code are listed individually in the development portfolio above; the remainder sit within the series.
| Configuration | Designation | Description |
|---|---|---|
| AQT-001 | AQUAGOLD® fine touch™ |
Microchannel delivery of physician-selected therapeutic agents into the skin. The first configuration to reach market and the basis of the series' international professional adoption. |
| AQT-002 | — | Second configuration of the delivery system, developed 2013. |
| AQT-004 | MICROTOX™ | MICROTOX™ is a combination product — the microchannel device configured for interdermal delivery of botulinum toxin at a fixed depth, giving controlled placement across a broad application area. It is regulated as a combination product rather than as a device alone. |
Further configurations within the series, including a smart touch™ configuration prototyped in 2014, are not detailed here.
Additional research-stage programs extend the delivery and preparation platforms into ophthalmic, allergen, cannabinoid, exosome and vaccine applications, alongside the IBX-001 injectable vitamin composition family. Program designations are assigned on entry to development.
